My materials for this lesson, some borrowed and tweaked, some new:
-What does Bob do every day? a reading activity and a sentence maze. Looks like a word search but isn’t, kids enjoy it. Give a go first so you see what it is
-vocab review w/ vanishing pictures and picture reveal games
-sleeping soccer players, just like sleeping elephants
-a “memory” games where students (or teams of whole class) have a short time to memorize some data before being asked questions about it
-a days of the week song, simple and catchy, by Axel Pantelmann that I tied to a PPT
-“Today is Monday” song in a PPT, great song kids love, from Eric Carle
-Tic tac toe game, the hand-out has room for three games for 2 pairs
-warm-up conversation practice, just brief conversation practice, maybe amusing: one with Avengers one with ther characters like Boss Baby and his brother
-warm-up unscramble game on soccer theme-

Here is the new crossword puzzle format. Ss can answer in notebook, but more fun to use the 2-per-page worksheet. A student volunteers to pick a number, teacher clicks to show the picture clue, Ss write the vocab word in the correct place in the puzzle. Read the instructions before using in class.
The kids like it.
